Dave has been investing in early-stage technology comapanies for 20 years.  Prior to being a co-founder of Point Judith, Dave was a founding partner of Columbia Capital, a leading venture capital firm in communications and information technology with over $1.4B under management across three venture funds.  Dave was a member of the General Partner of Columbia from 1988-1999.  In his tenure at Columbia, Dave was involved in 77 investment decisisions and was a director of 12 companies including Bay Cellular, Sterling Cellular, Savillle Systems, Telular Corporation, Spaceworks, Columbia Spectrum Management, and Digital Television Services / Pegasus.

 

Dave also founded Rex Capital in 1999, a venture capital firm focused on early and growth stage technology investments.  He served as the general principal from 1999-2002 and represented Rex Capital on the boards of Co-nect, Ru-Net Holdings, and Sunflower Technologies.

 

Prior to his venture capital career, Dave served as President of Providence Cellular where he led the company in the acquisition of U.S. cellular properties.  In addition, he held various management positions within corporate planning for AT&T.  Dave holds a BA from Union College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
